The heart of New York – Central Park

I guess the Central Park is one of those highlights and ‚must sees‘ of New York and just one of the most typical things for this beautiful city on the east coast. I didn’t even expect it to be that close to 5th Avnue and Times Square but it really is right in the center of the city so I was even more excited to see at least a little part of it. I am sure you all know Central Park from american movies and series such as Gossip Girl but it really flashed me when I came there – such a magical place within the busy city.
Der Central Park in New York gehört glaube ich zu den typischen ‚Sehenwürdigkeiten‘ und Bildern die wir von New York im Kopf haben, ohne jemals dagewesen zu sein. Man kennt ihn aus etlichen Hollywood Filmen und einigen Serien, wie zum Beispiel Gossip Girl und dennoch ist er so viel schöner, wenn man tatsächlich vor Ort ist. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass er so dicht an der 5th Avenue und dem Times Square ist und einfach so mitten in der Stadt aus dem Boden sprießt – wirklich ein magischer Ort. Auch wenn ich nur in einem winzigen Teil war habe ich mich sofort wohl und heimisch gefühlt – mitten in der großen hektischen Stadt 🙂
